A reservation made more than 30 days in advance will be held for 7 days after confirmation. If the deposit is not received during that time, you’ll be contacted, and if other arrangements are not made, the reservation will be cancelled. If the reservation is made less than 30 days before your scheduled arrival, you’ll be asked to expedite your deposit payment with either a credit card deposit, a deposit directly into the Moscow STAR checking account at any Wells Fargo Bank branch, a check sent via U.S. Mail, Next-Day-Delivery, a bank wire transfer*, or a WESTERN UNION cash transfer.

A minimum deposit for the apartment rental is US $150 or the first night’s rent, whichever is greater. The apartment rental balance is due upon arrival in Moscow either by major credit card, or in cash, US Dollars, or the balance may be paid in advance by mailing a cashier's check/money order to our American office, a deposit into the Moscow STAR at a Wells Fargo Bank branch, or a bank wire transfer.

We also accept Russian Rubles, British Pounds, Euros, Japanese Yen and Swiss Francs. If you plan to pay in anything other than US Dollars, please advise us beforehand so that we have the most recent street conversion rate. Any change will be given in Russian Rubles or US Dollars. Please keep in mind that payment in any currency other than US Dollars requires conversion into RU Rubles before conversion into US Dollars. In Russia, currency exchange from any major currency, other than US Dollars or Euros, to RU Rubles are at EXTREMELY unfavorable rates.

If you desire to reduce the amount of cash carried into Russia, you may pre-pay the full or any portion of the amount due with your deposit submission. Any additional pre-payment is fully refundable subject to the cancellation policies listed below.

If you are in Moscow and choose to rent an apartment, contact Moscow STAR to make deposit and payment arrangements. If the reservation is for the same day, we’ll even pick you up within the city center to take you to the apartment at no charge.

ANY RENTAL ADVANCE PAYMENT IN EXCESS OF THE NORMAL DEPOSIT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE!

If an airport/train arrival pick-up is ordered, it should be paid in advance. In addition, if you wish the special pricing for the Round-Trip Airport Transfer package, the full payment should be included in the deposit submission.

If you desire to have your Moscow mobile telephone number BEFORE you depart from your home country, your mobile telephone rent and desired SIM card charge ($10 minimum) must be included with your deposit. Of course, if a telephone is available, you may rent your mobile telephone when you arrive in Moscow.

Any Pre-Arrival Shopping Service order and balance due should be included with your deposit submission.

U.S. MAIL:

You may mail your deposit submission, cashier's check or money order, payable to Moscow STAR Properties, Inc. along with the prepaid optional services ordered, to the address below. If you decide to prepay an additional amount of your apartment rent and/or other optional services ordered before you depart, please mail your cashier's check or money order to the same address... It's very important that we receive your check at least 48 hours before you arrive in Moscow! If time is short, we suggest a credit card payment, overnight U.S. Mail or a bank wire transfer.

BANK WIRE TRANSFER*:
Other than U.S. Mail a bank wire transfer is probably the least expensive way to transfer the deposit. If you wish to use a bank wire transfer, please notify us and we will provide the necessary information for the simple process.

Please note that only the actual wire transfer amount received as a deposit will be credited to the clients account. Any outgoing charges deducted from the total transferred amount will be due upon arrival.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE that Bank Wire Transfers are subject to a $30 surcharge. This is because my bank charges me a $30 fee for incoming wire transfers. Please include this additional amount in any wire transfer deposit.

DIRECT DEPOSIT INTO Moscow STAR checking account:
If you live near one of the 3,200+ branches of Wells Fargo Bank, which are located in 23 states in the USA, you may choose to make a deposit directly into the Moscow STAR checking account. This simple procedure may be the fastest and most secure method of making the deposit. If you would like to use this option, please advise us and we will provide all of the necessary information.

WESTERN UNION:
If you prefer to send the deposit with a cash transfer from Western Union, you will follow the same steps as above, except Moscow STAR will provide you with the information required to wire the money and then you will visit your local Western Union office to complete the transaction. After the money is sent, please email your RESERVATION FORM and DEPOSIT ORDER SUBMISSION FORM ALONG WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY WESTERN UNION, i.e. the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number, to: deposit@Moscow-STAR.com

CANCELLATION POLICIES:
We understand that plans change and a reservation occasionally must be canceled. In that case, Moscow STAR Properties cancellation policies are as follows:

You may reschedule any reservation up to 21 days, Moscow Time, before the scheduled arrival date without penalty.

• IF YOU HAVE PRE-PAID YOUR APARTMENT RENT, YOU'LL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND OF YOUR PRE-PAYMENT PLUS THE NORMAL DEPOSIT LESS ANY CANCELLATION PENALTY.

• If the apartment reservation is cancelled and then if we are able to rent it for the first night, you’ll receive a full refund, less a 20% service charge.

• (*) If the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours in advance (Moscow Time) of your scheduled arrival time, 50% of any deposit penalty may be applied to a future reservation.
  

• If you cancel less than 24 hours before (Moscow Time) your scheduled arrival or NO-SHOW, you’ll forfeit your deposit and any payments for optional programs such as PASS or Airport Transfer.

• ANY CANCELLATION MUST BE RECEIVED AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY A Moscow STAR REPRESENTATIVE. You'll be notified of receipt and acknowledgement within 36 hours.

• Once processing has begun, Visa Support Service is non-refundable. After the visa invitation/voucher has been received by the client, Moscow STAR is not responsible for any delays or non-issuance of Visa by Russian Consulate.

• Please allow 4-6 weeks for receipt of your refund check or credit card refund.

• Apartment features and amenities may be changed or eliminated without notice.

• Community services in Moscow are unpredictable. Moscow STAR assumes no responsibility for situations for which it has no control.
  

* A cash or credit card deposit of $100 for mobile phones may be required. The deposit will be returned immediately upon return of the telephone.
